Willie Phaler
ASPIRING SPORTS COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL
Hi, I'm Willie Phaler. I'm currently a student at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where I'm in the midst of my final semester as a sports media journalism major.
I currently work with MT Athletic Communications as an Athletic Communications Assistant, as the primary contact for MTSU Baseball. Prior to my time as a Sports Information Director, I made the rounds through MTSU student media. Up to January 2026, I was the co-sports editor for MTSU Sidelines while also being an on-air talent/ contributor for MIddle Tennessee News and MTN Sports.
This past summer I served as a communications intern for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. I love to create sports media content in a variety of mediums, and look to share that on this site. My resume is available in the PDF below.
