Willie Phaler

Hi! I am a junior at Middle Tennessee State University in the Sports Media Journalism program.

 

At MTSU, I write for MTSU Sidelines, an editorially independent student newspaper. I am the MTSU baseball beat writer for Sidelines, along with coverage of the TSSAA 6A playoffs in the Murfreesboro area. I have been fortunate enough to write about many of the other teams on campus, including volleyball, soccer, football and men's and women's tennis.

On the broadcast side, I have done work with Middle Tennessee News and MTN Sports. I'm gaining experience making packages for MTN and on-air experience as an anchor for sports, weather and news. With MTN Sports, I have made appearances on the CUSA All Access show and covered Blue Raider tennis as a sideline reporter and host/play-by-play commentary.
